The 3rd Department of Cardiology is fully integrated in the curriculum of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Students of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year of the Medical School are trained, as well as graduates in order to obtain their medical specialization in Cardiology. Faculty members of the Department participate both in undergraduate and in postgraduate studies.
Training of students is both theoretical and practical and it is provided by faculty members. Theoretical training includes the courses, lectures, seminars, attending educational events and discussing bibliographic information. Practical training includes the assessment of heart patients in the wards.
